A Note About Fr Charles
My accent mixes the sounds of New York, South Carolina, Ireland and, after 25+ years here, Australia. For over 20 years I lectured at UWA, leaving there as an Associate Professor in Medical Anthropology.

I have a 27-year-old son. Gregory. Greg went off to the University of Connecticut (UCONN) after completing his schooling in Perth. He returned to Perth to earn an MBA at UWA...then left me for Norway and a professional degree before settling in London.

While Greg was at UCONN, I was in Rome preparing for the priesthood - living and studying at Pontifical Institutes: the Beda College and Angelicum University.

Ordination brought me bush ministry in the Goldfields and Northern Territory before returning to Rome for postgraduate studies in theology.

My vision for St Thomas's is simple and clear: that all of us continue the ministry of Jesus: that as a parish we bring and keep more and more people into His Church - despite whatever human weaknesses it may have, it is the vessel of Christ.
